Mareo started to go by ‘Mark’ when he got sick of people spelling his name ‘Mario’ and asking why an Asian kid with red hair has a Mexican name.
Half Japanese and Half Irish, uncommon is the best way to describe the boy’s heritage, so his mother Mareo named ‘rare’ in her language.
He’s a technical genius with a standing invitation to MIT and a top spot on four major government organizations’ watch list of hackers.
When Mark was young he moved to the apartment complex that Tom and Hana lived in and Tom found him sitting on the roof desperately searching for a wireless signal.
Mark has had a crush on Hana since he laid eyes on her, she’s aware of it but Mark has yet to say anything…much to Hana’s relief, as she thinks of him only as a friend.
Mark is slightly socially awkward, he tends to say whatever is on his mind, which usually leads awkward laughter (or outright silence). He also offers slightly inappropriate compliments…to both men and women.
Mark is a proud dork and tries to immerse Tom (and everyone else really) in computers and Anime…so far Tom is the only one who watches anything, and even that has to be dubbed.
He currently lives in Kansas with his family.
