–Early Days–

Founded in 1630, the brotherhood of The Kayooshen is a religious organization created on Rakin shortly before the invention of deep space travel.

The belief system is centered around the supposedly immortal son of the war god Kayooshen who claims that it is his duty to unify all life in the universe under his father’s creed.

Originally benign, the religion spread quickly and found many followers and supporters.

When the first Rakin explorers discovered the other races their government was a theocracy lead by the supposedly divine being.

After the founding of the Galactic Alliance The Kayooshen began to grow impatient with the trickle of new converts and began to take a more aggressive approach.

In a media blitz The Kayooshen publicly proclaimed that all those who didn’t worship him would die in a fiery blaze.

The other members of the fledgling democratic power were frightened by this hostile campaign and they began to move to subvert the religious leader’s power.

The Brotherhood is a self-sustaining economic force, with planets serving as their food producers and others serving as mining operations.

–The War–

After the falling out caused by the media campaign The Kayooshen withdrew Rakin support from the newly formed Galactic Alliance of Sentient Planets and urged others to do the same.

Six planets (mostly on the outer rim of the galaxy, near Rakin) broke treaties with GASP and separated themselves, creating the initial FreeFroms.

Airosia was in talks with The Kayooshen to establish an alliance, creating an opposing super power to GASP.

The talks broke down in the face of Airosia’s natural xenophobia and hunger for power, The Brotherhood found themselves losing the support of their key Airosian allies.

In a last ditch effort The Kayooshen offered a new form of cheap, renewable energy to his would be allies.

Two years later six new power plants were finished and it seemed as though the alliance was secured.

The Kayooshen became impatient and after demanding an answer from the Airosian royal family was unpleasantly surprised when they refused, indignant at his forwardness they began to turn back to GASP.

In a final, desperate, act The Kayooshen sabotaged the new power plants, causing them to vent toxic waste across the landscape.

The act killed the majority of Airosians in the universe and rendered the planet uninhabitable.

This act of genocide is considered the start the war and forever branded The Kayooshen as a sadistic monster.

With the death of Roto, one of the three main generals of the KC, the organization has been thrown into confusion.

Roto had come to stand for the religious aspect of the organization and his death caused several subgroups to begin questioning their leader’s divinity.

The Kayooshen recently appeared in several videos extolling his now dead servant’s virtues and proclaiming that in his death he will serve his father, Kayooshen.

–The Military–

The Corps in The Kayooshen Corps comes from the extensive military regime that has become a feared power in the universe.

Originally made up from the true believers, it has recently opened its ranks to any and all who have a reason to stand against GASP.

The military branch of The Brotherhood is significantly smaller than GASP’s forces, but by using guerrilla tactics and blatant disregard for their own safety The Corps have managed to fight the other power to a standstill.

Most battles are now fought on isolated planets and trench warfare has become common.

The Kayooshen Corps are nearly as well armed as GASP forces due to the extensive smuggling network that they have cultivated.
