So I threw this together in the better part of three hours…I speed shaded and inked the thing. I’m actually happy with it. I may start speed shading the comic regularly…it looks about the same, right?

Also, Terrence will meet the rest of the agents very soon, filler isn’t really ‘canon’ so don’t worry about it. Remember, Eugene made his first appearence in the Holiday filler three weeks before he showed up in the comic. Things don’t carry over like that…though I do attempt to keep aliens away from people who don’t already know about aliens…

So I guess it’s semi-canon-ish.

Meh.

The picture of Hana is obviously of the Christmas variety…but she’s too cute to be angry about something that tiny, right?

I originally had a large, complex, picture planned. I had thought about going back and redoing a VERY old picture that seemed to have disappeared in my move to DA…however…I decided to forgo that for the very cute picture of Hana.

I did, however, find that old picture…from the first year of the PKF. It was buried in an old hard-drive that I had written off as ‘totally @#$%ing broke’…if you’re looking for a little more holiday cheer, check out this blast from the past (now placed in a gallery created for any Ancient pictures I stumbled across). I’ll probably go though said old hard-drive and see what I can find that you guys may be interested in, old character designs, scrapped comics, that sort of thing. Stuff I don’t want on my DA account but wouldn’t mind sharing.

So this is the last bit of filler for this little break, be here on Friday for a one-shot comic then on Monday the next chapter starts, with a bang. Literally.

Have a Happy Holiday and spend some time with those you love. And if you’re not celebrating anything this week, well, spend some time with your family anyway. I know they drive you nuts, but they love you. Probably. I don’t know…they’re your family.

Rarely do I Say how much of a pain in the ass it was to come up with a good title page for this one. Seriously, this was a true twinge in the rear end.

Don’t worry Eugene, Ami and the ZPF are only here to get this thing started. Soon we’ll move over to our regular heroes…it’s been a while since we’ve seen the others, hasn’t it? Ah well, big things are planned for this one.

I’m actually happy to have the ZPF back into the comic in a slightly large scale…it’s been lonely without them around to liven things up. Heh…Eugene’s getting back into the swing of things too, I always kind of imagined him as a totally smarmy bastard. He’s hitting on Ami and making misogynistic comments like he should be, which is nice.

And damn, Ami can @#$% up some people, right?

Yes, you may recognize the monsters invading the ZPF building, they come to us from the good old days, Chapter Five, specifically. But, true to my word, you don’t need to know much about them other than they’re vicious and plentiful.

Also, I should say that Cluster@#$% comes from ‘Burn after Reading’ (also ‘The Daily Show’) and I’ve been itching to use it in some kind of context. Heh, sorry, normally I resist that kind of urge but it just fit too well.

FINALLY, the comic will return to Three-a-Week for as long as I can maintain it. Hopefully for a month or so, at least though the first few weeks of school. It’ll be nice to get this one to a good spot in short order…Two-a-Week is a wee bit too slow for me.

I’m not going to say much, other than enjoy the filler and be here on Wednesday for a proper comic.

It’s been a while since I’ve put up some random, middle of the story arc, filler…so I figure I’m able to get away with it.

Plus I’m using this to get a little more of a buffer going…blarg…schools not leaving much extra time. But hey, I can still find time to draw. So we’ll be at twice a week for a little bit. But I hope to do three a week again sometime. School can’t ALWAYS eat my face, right?

First, if you’re not familiar with Ali, or Jorrin’s office building then you didn’t read Lost Time.

Don’t worry. True to my word you don’t need to know anything about Jorrin, Ali, or even Omen to get this little part. Just that Hana had previous dealings with them.

And before you ask, yes, Jorrin’s office sits in the middle of an open field with no discernible access points. Why? Because that’s just the way that Jorrin rolls.

Also, something I actually mentioned in Hunter is that Ali is the first member of the Devil race that’s made an appearance in The PKF…I’ve never actually said it anywhere (but in the blog section of Hunter) so as you can likely guess…it’s not that important.

But it’s a little FYI if you’re curious about the red-eye receptionist.

I’m also very, VERY, happy with Ali and her design. Hana’s appearance at Jorrin’s is also to give all the people who haven’t bothered to read Lost Time a chance to get to know Jorrin and his associates. Like I’ve always said, Lost Time isn’t a prerequisite for enjoying the comic. I’ve made sure of that. But if you ARE interested in reading about Hana’s training, Jorrin’s office, or any of the other little things mentioned in the coming Hana comics then check out Lost Time.

ALSO, I’m likely to have something special for this Friday…actually…I KNOW I’ll have something special for you all Friday, it’s just a mater of packaging it a little better.

So I opted to do something other than a cutesy little filler.

It’s actually a wallpaper. The new page will eventually be linked from the extras page, I’ll also be doing some other minor things…like avatars and whatnot…but that’s a few weeks off (or whenever I get to it).

Anyhow, yes, it’s Susi and not one of the PKF gals…but I decided that I wanted a new wallpaper for my computer and I also wanted to practice clothes that hung loosely. So Hana and Adjana were out immediately (Hana wears jammies and Adjana wears a long nightgown) so I opted to use Susi.

I enjoyed drawing this one…It’s not often that I get a chance to draw someone in floppy, semi-revealing, clothes and not feel odd about it…she is a few hundred years old after all.

Anyhow, like I said, there’s some wallpaper in several flavors if you care to pick it up. I’ll also be putting up the picture in my DA gallery later today. Ok, it’s in my DA gallery now.

Oh…and Hunter updated today. You may want to check it out…I’m trying something new that may carry over to the PKF if I start to warm up to it. So go check it out.
